My darkest secret? Addicted to uncluttering.
Marzia or 倩倩
My manifesto? Create beautiful, scalable, positive value that does good by the planet and society.
I am NOT an entrepreneur. I cannot come up with world changing ideas, but I set my mission to boost utilitarian impactful ideas by giving 'arms' for a greater (大) outreach to people centered (人) projects a/o start ups at its budding stage.
With a master in Law & Economics after a major in Business Management, I launched my career with SHANGHAI EXPO '10 for the Italian Chamber of Commerce, curating the Italian pavilion where I developed a taste for building bridges between different cultures.
Soon after, I consulted Fortune 100's companies and not for profit institute in market intelligence and localization strategy for Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, gravitating in 2013 towards Asian start-ups, a fertile ground where my data driven modus operandi <legs of 人> , combined with arresting aesthetics messaging <arms of 人> that could garner high impact volume (大).
The results did not wait to show up.
You might have stumbled across my work in events like Singapore's Night Festival or the Taiwan National Museum where I obtained sponsorship and carte blanche to design, curating and presenting my company's concept to a wide audience and influentials; you could have read about our products inThe Huffington Post, Vogue, Bazaar, Elle Decor; you might have touched our merchandise dotting over more than 10 European and Asian cities in our partner's brick and mortar, including London's Harrods or Hong Kong's Lane Crawford; organically grew followers and fans on Instagram (), Facebook (), and Chinese Platform of Youku, Wechat. All this with a team of less than 4 people.
All this could not have happened without planting roots to give stability to the company. I successfully built a shared source economy for emerging fashion brands to gain access to cheaper capital and more resources; I lead and mentored fresh out of school talents, fundraised over $750k/year and build and deployed a regenerative operative system. Market response' reports, P/L excel sheets, brand offering analysis, budget and production planning were my bread and butter that resulted in optimization of the supply chain with 3x production boost , cost cutting 2x.
The underline to a 80 hours work week is the willingness to create authentic experiences. We need to close the gaps, gaps between what a brand's promise and what the client's expects, between true value and how its perceived.
My approach, — no matter the project and medium— stems from the harmonious tension of having inherited Italian and Taiwanese rich culture, of doing juxtaposition to see common points as much as the differences, years of training the eyes to see a new route where there seemed none, of walking the extra mile to ensure that what one says is how one hears it.
If you are the I in any of the following situation:
I am a social entrepreneur, I want to expand my impact.
I want to go global with baby product. Where do I start?
I invested in a start up. How do I make it perform better?
I have a big data set. What does it mean?
I want my brand to last, to do more good.
I want to expand to the Chinese market.
I want to expand to the European market.
I want to make my organization leaner and faster.
I don't understand European multi diversity reality.
I want to hike a high mountain.
P.S. Off work you'll encounter me outside: acting as a fixer for TV documentaries, engaging in cross culture conversations, brainstorming with social entrepreneurs, puzzling over different arts & crafts, but most likely re-calibrating my brain in high mountaineering hiking.
